Ganesh Chaturthi

Being a most spectacular and magnificent festival, Ganesh Chaturthi is extensively feted event, mainly organized to venerate birth of Lord Ganesha. Usually described as vinayaka chaturthi, ganesh chaturthi is an occasion takes place each year in August or September month, observed with great fervor and gusto. Worshiped for 10 days, the elephant headed god is installed in each home with complete rituals and prayed eagerly till the moment of immersing in the river or pond.

In few regions especially in Maharashtra, this grand parva is observed with of course great gusto and cared only as a religious event necessarily to participate. Ganesh Chaturthi 2014

Chiefly observed in Southern part of India like Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Gujarat, Tamil Nadu and other southern state, ganesh chaturthi 2014 will fall on Friday August 29, 2014 with same keenness and interests, and will be adored during ten days. But in Mumbai, people also occupied in arrangement of ganesh maha utsav as previous year. The puja in this city is of course eyewitness events. Flamboyantly and exaggeratedly lord ganesha idols install at homes and Ganesh Pandals across the city of Mumbai. City also turns out to be a colorful place due to tableaux, paintings and decorations.

Aarti is made at Morning and Evening along with Prasad is positioned ahead of Pooja. During Aarti, songs are sung ahead of Lord Ganesha Idol throughout the ganesh chaturthi celebration. The Puja is regularly favored throughout Madhyahana Kaal according to Hindu belief. Same procedure runs during ten days and lastly idols of Lord Ganesha is immersed in Ocean with the speeches of "Ganapati Bappa Maurya".
