Diwali is celebrated across India as a national festival.. Deepawali is not just a national festival and an official holiday across the country but it symbolizes the victory of truth over evil.
Whether Hinduism, Sikhism, Jainism or Buddhism, Deepawali has a special spiritual significance in every religion and is celebrated across the country with great enthusiasm. In Hinduism, it is believed that on this day shri Rama, the king of Ayodhya returned home with his wife Sita and brother Lakshman after 14 years of exile.

Deepawali Festival Celebrations:


Deepawali "Deep(diya) +awali (row)" actually means "rows of lamps" and is celebrated by lighting diwali diyas which shows triumph of truth and good over evil within an individual.
On the occasion of Deepawali people give gifts to their friends, relatives and dear ones and wish them a very Happy Diwali. Deepawali is known to be a festival of lights and brings the awareness of the inner light.Deepawali celebrations include fireworks, lights, flowers, sharing sweets, and worshipping. As per Hindu calendar, Diwali celebrations are spread over five days and each day has a specific name and importance as mentioned in traditional Hindu calendar.



Specially in north India People worship "Lakshmi", the Goddess of wealth and "Ganesh", the God of auspicious beginning and then light lamps and diwali diyas across the streets and around the homes to welcome prosperity, wellbeing and positivity .Children fire crackers and enjoy a lot. People present delicious sweets as Diwali gifts to near and dear ones so as to add happiness and sweetness in their lives.Deepawali celebrates compassion, love and awareness of the oneness of all things which brings joy and peace for all.
