Diwali means an array of lamps that is "rows of diyas". Among all the festivals celebrated in India, Diwali festival is the most important and glamorous festival which is celebrated across the country with lively enjoyment full of enthusiasm.
Although Diwali is a Hindu festival but unquestionably and willingly celebrated by the people of every religion. Hindu festival of Diwali is a symbol of joy and fun for all. Diwali is a family festival which is celebrated 20 days after another important festival "Dusshera" on the 13th day of the dark fortnight of the Ashwin month as per traditional Hindu calendar. Hindu festival of Diwali symbolizes the victory of righteousness and truth over evil and acts as a milestone in uplifting the spiritual darkness from the life of people. It celebrates the glory of light.
It is believed by Hindus that on this very day Lord Rama returned to his kingdom Ayodhya after completing his 14-year exile along with his wife and brother. And every year his return is been celebrated by decorating homes, distributing sweets among near and dear ones and lighting thousands of diyas which creates a world of fantasy on the day of Diwali festival.



Sweets are an integral part of any celebration.Gulab jamun, kheer, ras malai, kalakand, motichuur k laddu are some of the delicious sweets specially prepared on the occasion of Diwali festival which make your mouth watered. On the night of diwali festival "Lakshmi-Pujan" is performed.



A traditional Puja is performed after sunset in all the homes and it is believed that Goddess of wealth visits every home on this night.Diwali brings peace and prosperity for all and is a celebration of removal of darkness and evil from our mother Earth and within ourselves.
