Bastille Days

Every Year, Bastille Day is celebrated on 14th of July, the French national holiday, which is popularly known as Bastille Day.
 
It memorializes the 1790 Fete de la Federation, held on the first anniversary of the storming of the Bastille on 14 July 1789; The anniversary of the storming of the Bastille fortress-prison was seen as a symbol of the uprising of the modern nation, and of the reconciliation of all the French inside the constitutional monarchy which preceded the First Republic, during the French Revolution. Festivities and celebrations are held on the morning of 14 July, on the Champs-Elysees Avenue in Paris in front of the President of the Republic.

Bastille Days Milwaukee



Milwaukee is a home to an annual four day "Bastille Days" celebration which includes a number of street performers, musical entertainment and minstrels, a variety of French foods, a "Storming of the Bastille" 5k fun run, and a 43-foot Eiffel Tower replica.

Bastille Days is an energetic, fun filled French themed street festival in Milwaukee. The Parisian festival commemorates the French Revolution with a combination of food, wine, entertainment, artists, street performers, street parades, roaming minstrels, a Storming of the Bastille and a 5K run.
